Forest Row Energy Community Energy Evening & AGM Renewable heat - The elephant in the room! 28th November 2019
Its that time of year again when the Forest Row Energy Team look forward to welcoming you to our annual get together and AGM. This year the evening will be focused on renewable heat - the elephant in the room!
Chris Rowland, Director of Community Energy South, will update you on all the exciting news from the regional and national community energy sector.
Esmé Donghi, Forest Row Energy Executive Director, will give you the Forest Row Energy news round-up and share with you our plans to help our community transition to renewable heat. Did you know that in the UK, the electricity supplied by the national grid is now made of up 33% renewable electricity but the majority of heat supplied to our homes and business is still fossil fuel powered.
Paul Smith, Director of Green Square, will talk you through the renewable heat options for your home or business and share with you some local examples of how renewable heating is working for people in our area.
We would also like to invite you to share any experience you have with renewable heating and give us feedback on your ideas for the the future. If you have a specific renewable heat project that you would like to talk about please let us know by emailing info@forestrowenergy.com
And last but no means least Jonathan Shopley, Forest Row Energy Chair, will guide us through the AGM’s formal proceedings.
Free homemade cakes and drinks for all!
Where and when? We hope to see you to learn, share, inspire (and eat cake) with us on the 28th November at 7:30pm, at the Baptist Church Hall on the corner of Chapel Lane and Hartfield Road, Forest Row, RH18 5BF
Non-members welcome.
If you are planning to come, please help us plan for numbers by emailing info@forestrowenergy.com and putting ‘Joining you on the 28th November’ in the subject area.
With Very Best Wishes, The Forest Row Energy Team
